Following the first drop from its expansive Spring/Summer 2023 collection, Brooklyn-based menswear label Adsum has returned with the second installment from this season’s lineup. This go-around, the brand looked to lake culture for a sartorial start, referencing the casualness of sitting at a dock or going for a swim through a bevy of woven cut-and-sew styles.
For brisk mornings, the outdoors-ready imprint offers the 14 Whale Cord Overshirt, which boasts a tightly-woven corduroy base cloth and features a retro O-ring snap front closure. In shirting, Adsum introduces two new styles: the Seam Shirt and the Flat Hem Workshirt. The former silhouette, which flaunts a boxy fit, receives contrasting exterior cover stitching at the side seam, armhole and back yolk, while the latter top offers a cropped shape made from a summer-weight plaid poplin for breathability.
For trousers, the brand calls on a selection of warm-weather-ready twills and canvases. Among them, the Patch Pocket Pant and Short recall the brand’s SS18 Utility Pant, with flat-felled and chain-stitched seams. The design, which is largely composed of a soft peached canvas, includes enlarged front hand pockets and a distressed vintage brass finish. Additionally, the Flexure Zip Short is ideal for movement, with a stretch cotton twill base, as well as dual rear and left leg pockets with curved zip entries.
The second drop from Adsum’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection releases on Thursday, March 30, at 11 a.m. ET on the brand’s website. Take a look at the next installment in the gallery above.
