After Nike (NYSE:NKE +0.81%) revealed the Air Ship “Every Game” in white/blue — and it was promptly mistaken for Nigel Sylvester’s unique “Bike Air” PE shortly thereafter — the mysterious model has returned in a white and red “Every Game” iteration. Though the “Every Game” is far from the Air Ship styles that a rookie Michael Jordan took to the court in, it does have a direct connection to the man himself: it’s inspired in name, if not in color, by one of his famous superstitions.
Throughout his entire 15-season career with the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards, Jordan wore the practice shorts from his time at UNC — where he won a national championship in 1982 — under his uniform. That’s where this Air Ship gets its “Every Game” moniker from, and its “Summit White/Mystic Red/Dune Red” color scheme wouldn’t look out of place with a Bulls jersey either. The epynomous “Every Game” hit is embroidered on the heels atop a red leather collar, while more red leather is used on the eyestays and Swooshes. The rest of the upper is covered in “Summit White” suede, and “aged” midsoles/outsoles round off the look.
The Nike Air Ship “Every Game” is slated to release on May 10 at retailers like Asphalt Gold and is priced at $150 USD.
