UNIQLO continues its “Peace for All” initiative with the introduction of a new charity tee capsule. Having raised over $2.4 million USD to date with the campaign — donating all profits to organizations such as UNHCR and Save the Children — it stands firmly behind its concept that “a single t-shirt has the power to spread peace.”
Entering this year’s “Peace for All” collection is the works of Basquiat, Akamai, Roger Federer, Magnum Photos/Cristina de Middel and Dick Bruna. First, a photo tee pictured by Christopher Makos sees a black and white image of Basquiat holding a globe set against a dark gray tee. Cloud company Akami Technologies also enters the mix with a black tee spotlighting code written in Go language in blue with specific letters in white spelling out “peace for all.” Next, Federer has teamed up with UNIQLO for a “LOVE” graphic that sees the “O” replaced by a tennis ball on a white tee. Magnum Photos’ Cristina de Middel also joins in with a picture shot in Salvador de Bahia with a hand holding a bird against a cloudy backdrop with “peace for all” script in white above. Lastly, Dick Bruna’s fictional rabbit Miffy is seen traversing across a globe on a blue tee to complete the collection.
Looking to purchase one of the charity tees? UNIQLO is set to launch the entirety of its “Peace for All” SS23 collection on April 20 online and in UNIQLO stores at a price of $25 USD each.
