For Bottega Veneta, social media is out of fashion, which means it’s down to its Creative Director Matthieu Blazy to tease the Internet with the latest-and-greatest coming out of the House. Thankfully, Blazy stands up to the task, having taken to his personal account to tease the Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2023 collection.
Aside from red Intrecciato leather trousers and a matching shirt, or the jumper that depicts his black Labrador-Pointer mix called John John playing chess (that he owns with his partner Pieter Mulier), there was something more playful that caught Hypebeast’s attention.
Head over to Blazy’s IG Stories and you’ll see a snippet from the PF23 campaign, seeing a familiar House model wearing a fuzzy mohair coat, what looks to be a neoprene shirt in brown with another shirt underneath, a tie, leather pants in black, and the star of the show — a chip cone.
Whether it’s intended to be a chip cone or happens to be shaped as such, the world is yet to find out. However, this bonded calfskin Intreccio leather accessory does fall well within Blazy’s nostalgic nature, as exercised by the brand’s recently-debuted dinosaur and snake accessories.
