For Spring/Summer 2023, Carhartt WIP set up shop in the grassy plains and coastal stretches of Biarritz, France, for its “Detour” campaign, shot by photographer Pablo Escudero.
The sartorial imagery places an emphasis on high summer wares, from lightweight tops and breezy shorts to logo-laden beach accessories. Among the range, Carhartt WIP highlights its Tamas Vances print, which appears in pastel tones across button-downs, T-shirts, shorts, beach paddles and towels alike. Meanwhile, the Wynton Shirt possesses a utilitarian functionality, and the Tyler program draws from the brand’s signature military inspirations, adding subtle flairs to its usual earthy color story with diamond-stitched details.
The Island Swim Trunks appear in a bevy of standout striped patterns, while a number of T-shirts, like the Harvester Tee, don iconographic graphics in bold colors. Rounding out the range, the label spotlights a selection of outdoor essentials, including water bottles, picnic blankets and a folding couch — the latter of which is covered in a graphic inspired by lumen flowers. Overall, the lineup includes just as many statement pieces as it does quintessential Carhartt WIP essentials, putting forth a collection of key summer pieces for all.
Carhartt WIP’s SS23 collection is now available to shop on the brand’s webstore. Take a closer look at the collection in the “Detour” campaign above.
