West Coast designer Rhuigi Villaseñor and PUMA (XETRA:PUM.DE -0.16%) are preparing to drop their fourth collaboration centered around New York City’s deep affiliation with basketball culture.
The duo pays tribute to basketball’s past, present, and future, offering a nostalgic range of footwear and apparel revealed by RJ Barrett and Walt “Clyde” Frazier. The fourth drop takes us through high school hardwood courts, redefining classic sportswear styles.
Essential T-shirts receive color-blocked collars and double-layered chest illustrations, paired with NYC-branded basketball shorts with stripped waistbands and thick-cut drawstrings. Faint plaid tote bags are made to carry all game day essentials, completing the assortment with a new rendition of PUMA’s Clyde Mid.
The athletic pair boasts white leather uppers, blue FORMSTRIP branding, and orange outlines. Padded and cracked leather adorn the mudguards and collars, embossed Clyde logos hit the medials, and gilded “1991” text rounds out the heel counters. Collaborative tongue tags and pre-yellowed soles finish the design.
Take a closer look at Rhuigi Villaseñor and PUMA’s fourth “New York Worldwide” collection above. The garments will be available on May 27 via PUMA and select retailers worldwide.
