Acne Studios has become known for its unique approach to design, delivering gendered clothing with a unique outlook that bends traditional l s. For Spring/Summer 2024, Acne Studios’ menswear division returns to the 17th century and modernizes the era’s sightseeing wardrobe.
The brand’s latest menswear offering goes on its own “Grand Tour,” creating personal garments with a story to tell. Every look embraces travelers’ distinct identities, taking partial inspiration from vintage denim owned by Creative Director Jonny Johansson.
Acne Studios’ SS24 collection begins with fuzzy rainbow-colored pullovers, distorted branded leather belts, and exposed underwear, followed by distressed floral tops and historic patchwork bottoms. The brand collaborated with Swedish ceramist and glass artist Per B. Sundberg to create prints and jewelry across the collection. His work hops from garment to garment, while Acne’s in-house team crafted warped animal-printed trousers, studded coveralls, and translucent organza raincoats. Bleached denim outerwear and geometric padded tops boast a futuristic identity, completing the collection with handprinted kilts designed by Sundberg himself.
