The North Face
Launching their collaborative relationship back in April to celebrate Earth Day this year, Online Ceramics and The North Face have reunited for Chapter 2 of their collaboration. The special collection is filled with styles inspired by 1960s California climb culture uniquely crafted for every adventurer.
Focusing on the shared design ethos of both being “Built for Life” and created for “Camping and Outdoor Use,” Chapter 2 of the Online Ceramics x The North Face collection features an assortment of apparel and equipment. Continuing the sustainable leaning of their first collaboration from the utilization of the new Re-Grind platform, a process that repurposes scraps from factory floors into new, wearable gear, the duo employed a variety of recycled materials. The sustainable textiles are paired with performance materials like FlashDry-XD™ fabrics that provide waterproof functionality and UPF 50+ protection throughout the special range.
Standouts include the 1995 Polartec® Denali, Windjammer, Brimmer Hat, Basecamp Box for organizing gear and transportation, and packable Polartec® Blanket that introduces the colorful, irreverent graphics and messages true to Online Ceramics. The messages of “Forest Hugger,” “Star Person,” and “Happiness Inside” are continued on a selection of hoodies, T-shirts, and pants that continue the aesthetic outlook of the collaboration.
“When The North Face was founded in 1966, camping was a fringe activity for those looking to escape through the peace and calm of the outdoors,” said David Whetstone, Senior Design Manager of Collaborations and Special Projects at The North Face. “Our Summer 2023 Collection with Online Ceramics draws on the spirit of this time with an assortment of outdoor hiking and camping products that blend The North Face’s performance DNA and Online Ceramics’ artistic direction.”
Priced between $50 and $350 USD, Chapter 2 of the Online Ceramics x The North Face collection will be available on The North Face’s website and at TNF locations like The North Face Concept Store in K11 Art Mall starting June 23.
