It’s no secret that Italy births some of the finest fashion talents, and now there’s a new name on the block that’s hoping to disrupt the saturated streetwear-infused luxury scene. This is Inna Gerchikov’s DARKPARK, a unisex brand that was founded in 2021 and already finds itself taking hold of the luxury retail world.
DARKPARK now reveals its Spring/Summer 2024 collection, presenting a range of unisex designs that are made in Italy using everything from denim to natural fabrics such as Tencel. Here, the materials combine under deconstructed utilitarian themes: wide-fitting denim jeans are distressed on the front and sliced on the back, revealing the buttocks ever-so-slightly like a pair of chaps. Elsewhere, cargo shorts appear in an oversized fit, sporting zippers adorned with sparkly silver pullies for something more luxurious; and the subversion continues with chino trousers that are tailored and sculpted with a kind of epaulet darting from the waistline.
In contrast to this, DARKPARK also debuts a range of classic staples, from Harrington jackets covered in check patterns to logo-adorned plaid shirts and a range of caps to complement any outfit.
