Telfar’s claim-to-fame Shopping Bags have undergone Brazilian footwear purveyor Melissa’s signature jelly treatment, in a new collaboration, titled “Telly Jelly.” Joining forces for the first time, the two labels have transformed the quintessential accessory, as well as a pair of unisex sandals shoes, using Melissa’s exclusive and sustainable Melflex materials for a futuristic finish.
The summertime tote hand bags, which arrives in small, medium and large sizes, boasts a fluid design and tubular construction. Molded with the aforementioned clear substance, the shopper is completely water-resistant and concert-compliant, thanks to its transparent finish.
The Melissa x Teflar Jelly Slide, meanwhile, features a similar tubular set-up, fronting a logo strap with three cross-over stripes and a small heel that offers a slight lift. Marking the first unisex jelly, the shoe abides by genderless sizing, so it’s important to refer to the brands’ charts when selecting a fit.
Telfar and Melissa’s “Telly Jelly” collaboration will be available to shop products exclusively on Telfar’s webstore on July 14 at 12 p.m. ET, before it releases on Melissa’s webstore and at Galeria Melissa New York on July 17. The collection’s shopping bags will range from $150 USD to $250 USD, while the matching slides will be listed for $100 USD.
