Following its unexpected “The Barbie Pink” collection, B.B. Simon has now come together with underground artist 730Carlina on a range of Kirby-inspired “Star Baby” belts. The collaboration serves to offer a wearable piece of art in the form of a luxury belt, transcending a mere fashion accessory while embodying the essence of Gyaru subculture.
A follow-up to their FGNFnitin’s Apu Belts in 2019, 730Carlina brought her connection to the culture for the latest selection of belts. Available in three colorways: “Baby Pink,” “Silk White,” and “Vanta Black,” the “Star Baby” belts are expertly crafted with premium suede and Australian crystals.
The release of the belts is accompanied by a campaign directed by Jaffa Saba and shot by Amir Hossain, showing young women exuding Gyaru’s vibrant spirit.
Priced at $500 USD, the 730Carlina x B.B. Simon “Star Baby” belts will be available exclusively September 1 at a three-day pop-up at the B.B. Simon flagship in Los Angeles.
