For Summer 2023, California-born outdoor lifestyle label Afield Out sets its warm-weather wares against a peaceful island life scenery. The collection, which spans nylon utility shirts, two-tone shorts, wool bucket hats and a bevy of graphic T-shirts, effectively articulates self-taught designer Brian Chor’s nature-ready codes while embracing an atypical color palette.
This season, the punk-inspired brand places an emphasis on utility, with central design details, including button pockets and adjustable straps, enhancing the line’s adventurous personality. Carbon shirts, arriving in black, sage and bone hues, employ four total front pockets for optimal storage, made from nylon with lightweight mesh for ventilation. The Rapid Longsleeve T-shirt, meanwhile, features a ribbing, tubular build with namesake iconography running down both arms, and the Universe T-shirt fronts an artful take on the label’s affinity for nature.
Down the line, Duotone Sierra Climbing Shorts, coming in “Green/Light Green” and “Brown/Grey,” opt for an elasticated waistband and an adjustable belt, with a waterproof finish. Stripe-designed knit bucket hats, dubbed “Heather Moro,” arrive in a slew of multi-toned wools, while two cap iterations center the brand’s signature logo work. Rounding out the range, Citronella Candles, packaged inside either black or sage containers, are made with natural essential oils, including citronella, eucalyptus and geranium.
