Carne Bollente is back with its Fall/Winter 2023 collection and the label is taking their own visionary portrayal on the classic tales and history of sex. In a world where the alternative history gives a “best case scenario timeline,” Carne Bollente’s FW23 collection paints a fantasy world that gives way to one’s own free exploration of sexuality.
Taking inspiration from historic stories like Adam & Eve, Ancient Greek mythology and the Japanese erotic art Shunga, the “History of Sex” collection focuses on the art of modern sexuality. While the sex positive brand based out of Paris is usually all about the raunchiness and explicit graphics, this particular collection focuses on the abstract feelings of touch and sensuality. From sweaters to button down shirts to hoodies to t-shirts, the collection is straight forward in communicating its message. Erotic art is portrayed in the form of vibrant graphics, celebrating sensuality and the naked human body. Relationships between all genders are communicated in illustrations, rewriting history in a more inclusive and positive light. Carne Bollente FW23 features women who are stronger than men and queer individuals who possess the power to feel liberated and free.
Over 65% of the collection is made of environmentally friendly fabrics and 1% of all orders from the online shop are donated to the French association AIDES in order to fight against HIV & AIDS. The collection is now available online.
