Manchester United and adidas (XETRA:ADS.DE -1.02%) have just presented their new third kit for the 2023/24 campaign and it celebrates the club’s famed identity — the Red Devil.
As one of the most decorated clubs in domestic — and world — football, Manchester United has an abundance of iconic memories to draw inspiration from. In this latest creation, however, the club has decided to dive into the archives and reference the iconic jersey the squad wore in the 1909 Cup Winning season.
Delivering a new look that strives to stand out on the pitch and in the stands, the new Man U third kit is hit with a crisp “Cloud White” base, providing the perfect backdrop for the new Red Devil emblem to stand out. The shirt is then complemented by the customary adidas Three Stripe branding along each sleeve in white and completed with a red ribbed crew neck collar.
Additionally, the launch of this new Manchester United jersey — which celebrates the first time the Red Devil has appeared singularly on the kit — sees adidas work with United on a short film, featuring club legend Roy Keane. The film looks to encapsulate the winning mentality and history of the club, so the enlisting of Keane, Manchester United’s most successful captain, makes perfect sense as he encompasses what it means to be a Red Devil and Manchester United supporter.
