Sunflower returns to the Copenhagen Fashion Week schedule for the Spring/Summer 2024 season, bringing back iconic ’70s and ’80s silhouettes to the runway.
The Danish brand continues to pay homage to the classic menswear tailoring as the underlying fundamental to their designs. The clothes and the models were accompanied by a live performance from the Danish brand Laid Back, a well-known band in the ’80s with its like “White Horse” and “Sunshine Reggae” that charted globally. The audience singing along, Sunflower debuted its SS24 collection, filled with remastered menswear classics in the label’s signature style.
Coming together for this seasons collection, Sunflower combines moto vests with chore jackets as well as tuxedo jackets and floral boxers. The collection is straightforward and simple to digest, clearly articulating the brand motifs and the broad menswear range. The idea of the modern suiting comes to mind as laidback styling highlights the collection throughout. From head to toe denims to mesh button downs paired with oversized trousers, Sunflower continues to look towards relaxed, ’70s rocker aesthetic. The band Laid Back set the tone for the show as the models stepped across the runway to the swing-like rhythm, keeping it light and easy to match the vibe of the presentation.
