Palace is charging headlong into the holiday season, revealing the lively lookbook for its forthcoming Winter 23 collection. Puffy jackets, sturdy knits, sportswear-influenced outerwear and plenty of GORE-TEX are present across the collection, all of which make heavy use of prints, patterns and Y2K-influenced graphics for an offering that’s thoroughly Palace: a healthy helping of British cheek, rooted in classic London skatewear and roadman style, but often seasoned with embellishments that seem straight from the mind of a caffeinated Gen Z-er.
On the playful side of the spectrum, there’s pieces like a wild puffer jacket with an all-over print created by British artist Chila Burman, an ice hockey jersey with a polar bear print, intricate soccer jerseys and cotton pants printed Portuguese Azulejo-inspired graphics and even — most surprisingly of all — a kawaii-style beanie with what appears to be bear ears.
If that’s not your cup of tea and you’re looking for the nitty-gritty street and skate wear mentioned above, you won’t be disappointed either. Beefy Pertex Quantum puffers with bilt-in balaclavas, two-tone Polartec fleece jackets, GORE-TEX pieces with textural lichen prints, mohair blend cardigans, corduroy work jackets and hybrid parkas are just a few of the many garments that offer a fresh-yet-familiar feel. Each item is modeled by a familiar face from the Palace family: Lucien Clarke, Shawn Powers, Dino and Kanin Garner, to be specific.
Expect the first drop of Palace’s Winter 23 collection to release in-store and online in the U.K. and EU on September 29 at 11 a.m. GMT, online in the U.S. at 11 a.m. EST (8 a.m. PST) and in-store in New York and L.A. at their 11 a.m. timezones. Japan will receive the collection a day later on September 30, in-store and online at 11 a.m. JST, and via WeChat at 11 a.m. CST.
