Back with its second delivery for Fall 2023, STAMPD has put together a collection dedicated to the historical Black Mountain College. Titled “Black Mountain,” the range serves to celebrate one of the first liberal arts colleges that also served as a mid-century hub of holistic education and avant-garde poetry, art and music.
The Fall 2023 Delivery 2 captures the creative spirit of school through an arrangement of cozy cold weather staples marked by graphic finishes and design details paying homage to the North Carolina mountain outdoors. Additionally, the collection continues the gray-scaled sepia fades and supple finishes of the first Fall drop from STAMPD with a transition to a distressed olive green and rose quartz color palette.
The graphics paying homage to the out-of-the-box thinkers and creatives of Black Mountain College feature statements like “The Balance of Art and Education: Interdisciplinary Approach, Prioritizing Art-Making” and “Passion: The Genesis of Genius.” While the STAMPD “S” logo is reimagined in the form of a hand-drawn graphic design sketch rendering.
