FENDI is an Italian luxury brand, which belongs to LVMH Group and was founded by Adele Fendi in Rome, Italy, in 1925.

In 1925, Adele and Edoardo Fendi founded the Fendi brand in Rome. In 1938, Fendi launched a full range of SELLERIA handbags. From 1972 to 1976, FENDI expanded its global business. In 2000, LVMH (Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton Group) acquired Fendi and became the most important shareholder of the company in 2001.

In 1938, Adele and Edoardo Fendi launched a full range of Selleria handbags, inspired by a doctor’s bag and drawing on the craftsmanship of a master harness manufacturer.
