Sam Browne collaborates with BrooksBrothers on the series’ BlackFleece ‘:
On September 8, 2006, the Brooks Brothers clothing brand in the United States announced a collaboration with Tom Browne to design a series of 50 men’s and women’s high-end ready-made clothing, named “BlackFleece”. The series was sold in over 30 BrooksBrothers stores worldwide in September 2007, and its commercial success led BrooksBrothers and Sam Browne to announce in July 2008 that they would continue their collaboration for another three years. This collaboration series continued to be highly successful, leading BrooksBrothers to open an independent “BlackFleece” flagship store in West Village, New York.
◆ The cooperation series “MonclerGammeBleu” between Thom Browne and Italian sportswear brand Moncler:
The high-level men’s wear line “MonclerGammeBleu” designed by Thom Browne and Italian sportswear brand Moncler was launched in winter 2009 and achieved great success. This men’s clothing series is the first designer collaboration men’s clothing series launched after the collaboration between the Moncler brand and designers Alessandra Facchinetti and Giambattista Valli to launch the “MonclerGammeRou” women’s clothing series.
The first “MonclerGammeBleu” series was launched at Milan Fashion Week in January 2009. Since then, Tom Browne has been appointed as the creative director of “MonclerGammeBleu”, which is displayed at Milan Fashion Week every season.
