Louis Vuitton (PARIS:MC.PA -2.13%) is prepping to hit the slopes for the Winter 2023 season, with the launch of its all-new skiwear collection. The range, which includes a bevy of performance pieces and aprés ski silhouettes, enlists innovative technical materials across ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes and accessories for both men and women.
On the men’s front, LV introduces a rugged-yet-refined ski parka, made with black breakage topstitching, as well as matching trousers in calfskin leather. A central patttern, riffing on aerial imagery of ice-capped landscapes, commands puffer ski suits, fleece jackets and cotton sweaters. Fitted jackets and gilets, meanwhile, don slope-inspired graphics, and an alpine mohair cardigan adopts a mountainous illustration.
For women, the House puts forth a number of down-filled jackets and polished parkas, as well as ski pants, technical trousers and contoured leggings for on-the-mountain functionality. In accessories, scarves appear with LV medallions, while signature gloves, hats and caps offer wintery takes on classic LV shapes.
The collection’s bags complement the on-ski wardrobe, in a number of soft finishes. Among the standouts, the shoulder bag fronts a water-repellent Monogram coated canvas in optical white with black trims, while the classic Keepall receives the wintertime treatment with a tech-first construction.
Shoes, too, are ready to take on snowy terrain. The LV Alpine Boot, made with black structured and padded nylon, offers an exaggerated take on the LV Trainer sole, while the LV Trainer Snow Boot draws inspiration from snowboarding wares. For aprés ski, Louis Vuitton has crafted a number of -fur footwear, including the LV Driver Monogram and the LV Easy.
Rounding out the lineup, Louis Vuitton has produced its own snowboard, boasting a glacier grey motif, as well as a set of Monogram skis, which are available in three sizes.
